Wine making process
The vineyard is established on chalky clay soils and the average yield is 35 hl/ha.
The crop is totally hand-harvested and sorted in the vineyard. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed when they arrive into the cellar.
A 4 to 5 week maceration follows, with regular, gentle manipulation of the cap to provide extraction but without bitterness
Tasting notes
Colour: deep, bright red colour.
Nose: sweet spicy flavours, with hints of blackberry and liquorice.
Mouth: The concentration and the ripeness of this Merlot are exceptional.
