Vin du pays de l' Hérault

Olea Rose is produced in Pezenas, the birth place of Moliere. The vines are grown on terraces where the soils are made from limestone, similar to those found in Chablis. The climate is quite cool for the Languedoc and this helps produce the elegant and fruity style of the wine.

Grape Varieties

Cinsaut
Grenache
Syrah

Winemaking
The harvest is carried out early in the morning, crushed and then undergoes skin contact maceration for 6 hours. The Grenache and Cinsault are pressed to obtain the juice. After removing the skins the clear must is fermented at low temperature to preserve the fresh fruit flavors and aromatics. The Syrah is lightly crushed and then left to cold soak for 6 hours, this delivers greater concentration and flavor.

Tasting notes
The colour is very bright and deep. The nose is explosive with hints of red fruit. The plate is soft and elegant. The combination of elegance and freshness form the Cinsault and Grenache is balanced by the power and character of the Syrah.

The wine is very good as an aperitif or with grilled meats and cheese. Serve cold at 11C.
