CHARDONNAY
Vin de Pays d’Oc

Grape Varieties
100% Chardonnay

Monastier Chardonnay is produced in Languedoc Roussillon, in the South of France, between Narbonne and Béziers. The vineyard is located on gravelled soils which allow the water to drain through and the grapes to reach a perfect ripeness.

Winemaking process
The crop is harvested at night, de-stemmed, and then undergoes a short skin contact maceration. A soft and meticulous pressing extract the most aromatic juices. The must will ferment at low temperature, around 15°C.

Tasting notes
Monastier Chardonnay is awesome in its bright yellow colour as well as in its fruity nose.It has honeyed lime-juice notes on the nose, with peach aromas. The well-balanced mouth is lovely creamy with a sprightly citrus finish. This wine will be surprising on its own as an aperitif, or could accompany grilled fish or a plateau de fruits de mer.

Serve it very cold at 10°C.
