TERROIR DU LIAS
AOC Coteaux du Languedoc |
|
Grape Varietal
Syrah 90 %
Grenache 10 %
Wine making process
The vineyard is on chalky-clayey south facing terraces. The Grenache is traditionally made. The Syrah undergoes a carbonic maceration. This winemaking method keeps the grapes entire, not crushed, and thus develops very intense, fruity smells. Then, the wine is barrel-aged during 12 months, in order to give more complexity to the astonishing bouquet of this cuvee.
Tasting notes
Deep red colour with brown hints
The nose, which shows spices, black fruit, and cacao, expresses all the complexity of the wine.
The mouth confirms the perfect ripeness of the grapes, with a mouth-filling attack, and firm, soft tannins.
This cuvee can be drunk with cheese or game.
Terroir du Lias had the 2006 silver medal in the “ Concours des Vignerons Indépendants”
